Explore the delightful market town of Lymington

Lymington is one of England's most attractive Georgian towns and
home to around 14,000 residents.
The town is located on the southern edge of the New Forest, between
Southampton and Bournemouth and at the western end of the
Solent.
One of the major attractions of Lymington is its international
profile as a top class sailing resort.
It has two marinas and two sailing clubs, as well as a unique
open-air seawater bath that dates back to 1833.
With lots of
property for sale in Lymington, the town is a must for retail
fans and there are a number of independent shops that offer goods
and services that are a little different from the norm found in
larger chain outlets.
Every Saturday, the High Street hosts a weekly market that is
thought to have first been held in the 13th century and reflects
the rich history of Lymington.
There is also a very popular antique market on the High Street that
may be the ideal location when searching for presents for family
and friends.
One of the oldest buildings in the town is the Parish church, St
Thomas Church, which is thought to have been built in 1250.
For those who prefer to escape the town and explore, then the
surrounding countryside is ideal. To the north of Lymington are a
mix of woodlands and heathlands that form the New Forest, while the
Solent and the Isle of Wight are within easy travelling
distance.
Fishing is also a popular local pursuit, with the Lymington and
Beaulieu rivers boasting good stocks of tope and sting-ray, while
the Hurst Castle area can produce cod and large bass.
As well as lots of watersports, there are plenty of other chances
to enjoy some sport, with the area being home to a nine-hole golf
course as well as tennis courts.
